The Wonders Of Rhinoplasty Surgery

The nose is one of the most vital parts of our face and it is one of the first features people notice when they first meet you. Most of us are not born with a perfect aquiline nose, yet all of us crave for that perfect nose such as that of Tom Cruise or Julia Roberts. People often feel that they have no choice but to accept their unsightly nose. But not anymore, thanks to cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgery is much more commonplace today and much more accessible to people in general. Plastic surgery has become much more popular and has advanced to such an extent that it give you an entirely new look depending on your aesthetic desire.

One of the more popular procedures is rhinoplasty, or more commonly called the nose job. Rhinoplasty surgery either involves reconstructive surgery to improve the function of the nose to correct birth defects or breathing problems, or cosmetic surgery to improve the aesthetic appearance of the nose. It can be combined with other surgical procedures such as chin augmentation to enhance the aesthetic results.

Rhinoplasty's emergence as one of the most popular form of cosmetic surgery points to the fact that many people are dissatisfied with the appearance of their nose and are willing to go to great lengths to improve their looks dramatically through rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty surgery allows you to enhance your looks by reducing the size of your nose if you think it is too long; or by increasing the size of the nose if you think it is too short on your face.

Not only does rhinoplasty procedure help change the size of your nose, it can also change other features and looks of your nose to attain your desired look. Your rhinoplasty surgeon can reshape the tip or the bridge of your nose. If you think your nostrils are too big, then request the rhinoplasty surgeon to narrow down the span of the nostrils. If you do not like the gap between your nose and your upper lip because you think it is too big, then rhinoplasty can help you reduce this gap and flaunt the curvature of your upper lips.

Or you may be a new mother dismayed over the fact that your little daughter was born with a birth defect on her nose, but thanks to rhinoplasty this birth defect can be easily rectified. Or you may have sustained an injury to your nose; or your child may suffer from breathing troubles due to nose shape irregularities. Rhinoplasty can help eliminate all these problems too.

Before resorting to rhinoplasty, be sure to consult with a certified rhinoplasty surgeon or plastic surgeon for a thorough consultation. Be sure to also inquire about the rhinoplasty cost.

Natural Face Lifts - Is There Such A Thing?

Which woman wouldn't give anything to halt the hands of time moving on when it came to her face? Or better still, to reverse the ravages of time? Let's face it, as we age, our fight with gravity is one long losing battle and the sagging slowly appears, dragging our spirits down with it.

That's the time it hits us - why can't we do something about it? Unless we are in the entertainment business or in the public eye, most women just dreamed about it and then let it go. Not so anymore. There seems to be a trend emerging as the older women refuse to let their faces and their bodies age. Suddenly they are fighting back and managing to really turn back the clock. There are two courses open to a woman when it comes to her face - should she go under the knife or not? The problem is that surgery comes with its own ensuing problems. The great news? The option - facelifts without surgery are viable and what's more, there are options! What they promise is this: bringing back the elasticity to the face, erasing wrinkles and fine lines, removing scars and lifting sagging muscles.

Let's take a look at the many routes open to someone who is looking at non-surgical face lifts. Acupuncture is one way to go. They stick needles and pins into you and promise you a young, firm visage. Does it work? Well it's safe and reasonable as far as price goes but the effects do not last very long.

Some beauticians also promise a face lift with masks and peels. Very popular today are the TCA peels which have shown promising results. And it is also effective in a whole host of other skin problems like spots and lines.

A 'quickie' would be the laser face lift where a mild dose of laser rays sees your lines and wrinkles banished. The laser works to get your collagen going and soon you have plumper, firmer skin. You might go a little red in the skin but that's just for an hour or two.

The latest to hit the market is the Thermage face lift. Yes, it does involve anesthesia, takes an hour in all and you're out without any scars or bandages. The method used is radio frequency waves and is guaranteed to give you great results. The only way you can't have it done is if you have a pacemaker.

Yet another method is the Microcurrent face lift. This gets the body's chemical processes going at a cellular level and makes you look and feel young again. It is just a one-hour's treatment and uses a mild current which could leave your face tingling for a while, but other than that, you won't feel a thing!

Are face lifts without surgery the way of the future? Suddenly, it has opened the doors to a younger looking face to hordes of women. Why, many of them will probably go and get it done during a lunch break. No checking into hospital, no being cut up, no bandages. It really is a freedom trail for women who want to look and feel young.

What Are The Skin Types For Men?

Men's skin type describes and interprets how and why your skin looks, feels, and behaves as it does. Recognizing and identifying all the distinctions of skin type for men are very important because different skin types for men require different product combination. Although men do need basic products like a good, gentle cleanser, shaving product, state-of-the-art moisturizer and sunscreen to incorporate into their daily skin care routine, the composition of these products, whether they are lotion-, cream-, gel-, serum- or liquid-based, should compliment your skin type.

The four most common skin type groupings for men are categorizes as:

- Normal (no apparent signs of oily or dry areas)
- Oily (shine appears all over skin, no dry areas at all)
- Dry (flaking can appear, no oily areas at all, skin feels tight)
- Combination (oily, typically in the central part of the face, and dry or normal areas elsewhere)

Acne-prone skin is often classified under oily or combination skin types and sometimes registered as a skin type all by itself. Occasionally, sensitive skin may be listed as an individual skin type but I do feel strongly that all skin types, regardless for men or women, should be considered sensitive.

The truth is, understanding your skin type is far more complicated than those 4 or 6 categories mentioned. That is why men find identifying their skin type an indefinable challenge of changes that never settles down in one specific direction.

To begin this experiment, do not use products or highlight undesirable skin types. Refrain from using products, such as soaps and bar cleanser that are known to make skin dry and irritated. Avoid occlusive moisturizers as they can clog pores and worsen breakouts. Keep away from after-shave lotions, astringents, toners and any other skin care products that are laden with alcohol and other potentially irritating ingredients that cause redness, inflammation, and flaking on the skin. All of these can wreak havoc on the skin.

However, understanding your skin type is extremely important, just not in the way the skin care industry or companies see it or the way we've been taught to think about it, because skin type is never fixed. The variations of what is taking place on your skin can change from season to season, month to month and even week to week. In addition to the complexity is the strong possibility of skin disorders such as rosacea, eczema, skin discolorations, precancerous conditions, blackheads, sun damage and whiteheads.

When it comes to determining skin type for men, you need to forget what you've been taught by cosmetic salespeople, estheticians, fashion magazines and even dermatologists. The typical categories of normal, oily, dry, and combination, are a good basic, but they do not address every nuance, and they change and fluctuate with everything from the weather to your stress levels.

Once you have identified your skin type, you can begin your skin care routine. You need a gentle, water-soluble cleanser, a gentle shave product (gel, foam or cream), followed by a gentle, nonirritating post-shave or shaving lotion, which is actually just a masculine name for a gentle toner. The best after-shave product is an aspirin-based topical product that has additional potent anti-irritants. Aspirin is a very effective anti-inflammatory agent for irritated skin and is able to reduce the redness and razor bumps or burn. You can make your own by taking one or two aspirin tablets and dissolve it in about two tablespoons of water and then apply that to the face with a cotton pad.

When it comes to dealing with breakouts, preventing wrinkles, and addressing dry skin, the procedure is the same for men as it is for women. For blemishes, use a topical antibacterial product that contains benzoyl peroxide. It is very important to use sunscreen on a daily basis, rain or shine, 365 days a year. Suncare should be at least SPF 15 and loaded with effective UVA protection like avobenzone (which may also be listed as Parsol 1789 or butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane), titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide) and a state-of-the-art moisturizer laden with antioxidants and ingredients that replace vital substances to skin.

Any product containing antioxidants or other light- and air-sensitive ingredients should come in an opaque container whose contents receive minimal exposure to air. That automatically rules out products packaged in jars, because shortly after opening the antioxidants begin to lose potency and won't last for the lifespan of the product.

Black Tahitian Pearl Earrings are a Womans Best Friend

Another name for Black Pearl is the Tahitian Pearl. The story behind the name is the way how the pearl is produced. It is made from the large, black lipped pearl oyster that is called the Tahitian black pear oyster. This mollusk is located in the tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean.

Tahiti is popular for its crystalline and tranquil waters coaxing tourists to visit their shores for a well-deserved break. The beautiful islands surrounding the grounds add up to the rarity of the black pearl produced by the black-lipped oyster.

Historically, the first pearl farms that started searching for Tahitian pearls are located in Hikueru in the 1960s. Hikueru is the island in Bora Bora. Successful harvests then led to the exports of Tahitian Black Pearls from 1965 until 1972. Hikieru was notorious for their production of these precious materials.

Tahitian Pearls reached neighboring islands like Mangareve and Marutea Sud. The high demand for the Tahitian Pearl only motivated pearl farmers to get more.

Tahitian Pearls are usually slightly gray. Some are bluish black. But because Tahitian Pearl is for anyone who likes precious gems, stores selling this kind of stone offers a wide selection of unique designs.

Now everybody wants a good story. According to legend, the Tahitian Black Pearl came down from heaven in the form of a drop of water. The drop water fell into the sea which headed straight to the inside of an open shell. It was breeding period. The quality of each Tahitian Black Pearl depends on the dew that fell into the particular share.

If the rain was pure, the pearl was lustrous. If it dull, then it didnt rain. If its merely cloudy then the color of the Tahitian pearl is spoiled. Lighting and thunder were also factors in the cultivation of the Tahitian Pearl. Lighting stunts the growth while thunder can cause the shellfish to miscarry and produce hollow husks instead of precious pearls.

Poets from the Orient believe that every sixteenth day of the Nisan month each year, the pearl oysters rise up above the sea. Their shells open up in order to get raindrops falling from the skies above.

The poet Sadi wrote in an interesting fable that a drop of water fell from a cloud into the sea one day. It felt confused and at the same time ashamed because it was set side by side with an immense body of water. It believed that its existence is nothing compared to the boundless abyss. Then to its surprise, it blossomed in the bosom of the pearl-shell and became a magnificent black pearl. Later on, it donned the crown of a king.

Thats why Oriental people consider the Tahitian pearl so precious because of the legend connected to it. The story mentioned above shows a lesson that by being humble one can gain exaltation.

But in reality, Tahitian pearls can be cultivated. When a pearl is said to be cultivated, human beings assisted in creating such an organic gem. True that each pearl begins as a piece from the mollusk or oyster but once the nacre kicks in and forms layers after layer, then the pearl is produced later on.

Black Tahitian pearl earrings are magnificent creation and has become to be the most popular pearl in the world. These earrings are luminous and are celebrated for their rich, deep colors. Amazingly, they have a perfect spherical shape.

Pearl experts know that obtaining a spherically perfect pearl is a rarity for pearl farmers. The closest to it being a perfect circle, the more valuable the pearl. As for black Tahitian pearl earrings, a majority of them have perfect spherical shapes. That is exactly the reason why these make the wearer stand out when in a crowd. Black Tahitian pearl earrings are simply exquisite.

In fact, lately, Tahitian pearl earrings have become a fabulous hit to women, that it is not only produced in black. Other manufacturers sell white gold Tahitian cultured pearl earrings which is also considered to be a rarity and a precious jewelry to possess.

Some Tahitian pearl earrings include white gold karat making them more expensive than the average pearl.

Since it is already Christmas, why not add black Tahitian pearl earrings on your list. One special lady must deserve that great gift.

Cosmetic Nose Plastic Surgery Procedure Explained

Aesthetic cosmetic nose surgery or Rhinoplasty is a sophisticated and demanding surgical procedure for a plastic surgeon. Therefore it takes a very experienced and skillful plastic cosmetic surgeon to perform a Rhinoplasty operation properly and successfully.

Although a Rhinoplasty operation may be rather complicated, the surgical procedure can usually be completed within an hour since it is quite a minor operation targetted at reshaping the nose of the patient.

Since the shape of the nose on every person's face is different and as each patient wants her nose to be shaped differently, the cosmetic plastic surgeon must have extensive knowledge of a wide range of modern surgical skills and techniques so that he can choose the most suitable treatment for each Rhinoplasty patient. Cosmetic surgeons say that almost every aesthetically imperfect nose can be made more beautiful and elegant by a Rhinoplasty surgical procedure.

The nose is the most prominent feature on a person's face and that is the reason why a well executed Rhinoplasty operation can have great impact on a person wanting to look more beautiful and elegant.

Many Rhinoplasty patients suffer from unsymmetrical nose features and the patients they are acutely aware that their nose imperfection is very noticeable. Many sensitive patients may even suffer from psychological depression because of this imperfection. This is amongst the many reasons why getting a nose job done up is fast gaining popularity.

Many opinion poll surveys on patients who have undergone Rhinoplasty aesthetic nose surgeries showed that the patient's confidence and self esteem are boosted after a successful nose operation.

The success of an aesthetic nose cosmetic surgery will depend on many factors including anatomical particularities of a patient's skin and sub-skin structure (how the skin heals itself) and the patient's likely reaction to the operation are very important.

A successful nose aesthetic surgery also depends very much on pre operation consultation and medical examination of the patient. This is when the patient's mental vision of her nose is precisely determined and matched with the various possibilities as a result of the surgical procedure.

Rhinoplasty Surgical Procedure

A cosmetic nose surgery is preceded by a routine examination of the patient which will include some blood tests and an ECG. Prior to the operation, photographs the patient are taken. This is standard routine practice before any cosmetic surgery.

The cosmetic plastic surgery is a completely painless procedure because of the use of modern anesthesia. If the operation is done successfully, there may not be even any scars on the patients face.

During Rhinoplasty operation, the nose bone is sculpted using special surgical instruments. Usually patients want their nose to be made smaller but it can be made bigger if the patient so desires it.

When the desired size and shape are obtained, a nasal splint is put on the nose. The splint stays in place for a week to let the nasal structures heal.

During the first three days after the operation, the patient will need a nasal packing which helps to prevent bleeding and supports the new shape and form of the nose. The Rhinoplasty operation is done under enhanced local anesthesia. The patient is also given some sedative to reduce stress and tension during the operation. After the eighth day the splint will be removed and the patient will be the owner of a new nose shaped to her requirements.

Most people will admit that they believe it is crucial for the body to have the right kinds and amounts of vitamins for a healthy body. In fact many people take vitamins on a daily basis and have done all their life. It should not come as a surprise then to know that these same vitamins will help in the fight against aging, not only of the body but also of the skin. After all it would be impossible for the vitamins to improve all the cells of the body and not show in the skin. Most people know that the most important vitamins for this are vitamin C, vitamin E, and the vitamin B complex. These vitamins have been tested and used for so long that we no longer question their use. We are now seeing them used in various antiaging skincare products such as creams, lotions, and serums. There are many people that have already benefitted from these antiaging skincare products and will attest to that fact.

The Antiaging Vitamin K

Why are we looking at vitamin K now? Well, Vitamin K is often used for people with blood coagulation concerns as it is well documented as a coagulant. It is also known as the vitamin to use when trying to prevent osteoporosis and also for heart problems. It has been discovered that vitamin K has come forward as probably the vitamin with the best anti-oxidant properties and is now being used in place of some of the other vitamins previously used.

The Workings Of Antiaging Vitamin K

The aging process is basically that time and elements breakdown, and cause inflammation of, cells and tissue causing organs - including the skin - to break down over time.

A hormone called Interleukin-6 or IL6 has been found to be the cause of this inflammation. Your body, as it ages, will produce ever increasing amounts of this biochemical agent which will proceed to inflame the cells, tissue and organs with the result of aging the body. This aging process makes the body more susceptible to disease such as arthritis, heart disease etc. That is why we associate these illnesses with getting old. Vitamin K is now widely used in treating blood pressure, stroke, Alzheimers disease and osteoporosis. Results have been extremely encouraging due to the fact that it has both anti-oxidant properties along with its ability to block the IL-6 hormone. This is an interesting and exciting time to be working with vitamin K and many scientists are rediscovering the vitamin and its medical uses as well as discovering that it works wonders as an antiaging vitamin.

Onward

The future is bright for this important antiaging vitamin. many products will be utilizing its wonderful properties in the future. It has been shown that vitamin K accumulates in all the important organs of the body so it could be that it will be possible not only to treat aging problems but also to help prevent the aging process.

Hair Transplant - Is a Hair Transplant Right For You?

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure where hair on one part of your head that is not prone to balding (like the sides and back) is taken and transplanted into a balding area.

Generally, most of this transplanted hair will continue to grow for the lifetime of the patient. Hair transplants are thus a popular way to address the problem of premature balding and thinning.

Patients like the fact that they don't have to mess with questionable treatments or products for the rest of their lives.

Hair Transplants are becoming much more popular in the image-obsessed culture we live in today. People are realizing that image makes a difference in everything from personal confidence and happiness to the type of salary you earn and even to what kind of mate you can attract.

What Does It Look Like?

New advances in are made every year. Transplants today don't need to have the 'pluggy' look they did 10 or 20 years ago. Today they can look so completely natural, no one will be able to tell you had one.

Depending on which doctor you choose you can address the thinning areas on your crown or front hairline.

Your doctor may also be able to steer you towards proven hair loss products that can cut down on hair loss after your surgery.

Options For Hair Transplant Surgery:

In general there are 2 types of surgery: The FUSS and the FUE method.

1) FUSS - Follicular Unit Strip Surgery

A narrow strip of hair is taken from the back of your scalp (where you aren't prone to thinning). The grafts are then implanted into the balding area and most will continue to grow throughout the patient's lifetime.

2) FUE - Follicular Unit Extraction

This is a new technique that few surgeons offer. It mainly consists of harvesting each follicule separately from the back and sides of the head (that aren't prone to thinning). Then each hair follicule is transplanted into the balding area.

Is It Right For You?

Everyone is unique and a hair transplant may not be for everyone as each person's situation is unique. If you're considering having one, you must choose your surgeon or clinic carefully as there are a wide variety of options.

If you are considering a hair transplant, talk to your doctor. You'll also want to educate yourself on surgical methods, costs and options before making a final decision.

Cosmetic Surgery for Those in their 40s and Up

Not just movie stars these days are getting cosmetic surgery and facelifts even in their 40s and sometimes their late 30s. These days the rich and shameless, famous or not or getting more and more cosmetic surgery done. A common procedure for the not very old is the eyelids. Sagging and dropping eyelids can show your age before anything else. This is related in turn to the condition of the skin on the forehead. One note of caution, if you look at a website called awfulplasticsurgery.com, sometimes the movie stars overdo it and end up with too tight forehead skin and a permanent open eye appearance, not that they cant close their eyes too. They may think it is merely dramatic.

In cosmetic eye surgery, the surgeon makes incision to remove excess fat and skin. This can be combined with a skin lift of the forehead and other methods in order to remove the dreaded crows feet that begin to extend out from the corner of the eyes toward the ears. For a guaranteed no scars procedure, for patients who are just beginning to have under the eye bags, under a local anesthetic pockets of fat are removed without removing the skin. This is done through tiny holes made inside the lower eyelid, leaving no scars.

Since this is a very delicate area of the body, a light general anesthetic is used, plus a local anesthetic is injected around the eyes. The surgery takes about an hour to perform.

There are two separate procedures where some patients need both, and others need one of the two. This is the removal of excess skin and/or the removal of excess fat, which create the effect known as bags under the eyes. In new operations, the fat under the eye can be remolded. In other operations, the skin around the cheek bones is tightened in order to tighten the skin around the eyes. A careful balance has to be made by the surgeon to keep from getting a too tight look around the eyes. Like general facelifts, these operations, both to tighten the bags under the eyes and the area above the eyes may need to be redone, depending on the age and the condition of the patient, within five to ten years. Even though the patient is under light: general anesthesia, he or she can generally be taken home after two or three hours. Or the patient may arrange to stay overnight after the surgery.

Skin Care: No pimples-No marks-No wrinkles and No aging!

Skin is a Rose like!

When you have born, you were soft, smooth and silky like rose petals. And when you grow, sometimes you may feel after a period of say 30 years or so, your skin turns into some thorns closer to the rose flowers.

Your skin sometimes gets roughened due to exposure to Sunlight, polluted air, dry wind, hot and cold weather, rain and chemically polluted water. The skin loses moisture and oils and becomes dry. The pores of oil glands also get blocked by the dusts and dirt. The place of oil glands harbors fungi and bacteria and allows them to grow into scales.

Turns Thorny needs removal!

White and black heads emerge allowing more of dandruffs, dead cells accumulation on the skin. These will turn into pimples, acnes, psoriasis presenting a shabby skin show on the face, neck, head and scalp. When it spreads, it may form eczema down the neck any where on the body surface and on the hands and legs. You will understand that this is undoubtedly right time to take care of the skin, a natural coat to the entire body.

Skin Care is a routine happy affair!

However, skin care starts right from the day of the childs birth. Application of mild soap, baby oil, cold cream, sandal and turmeric powders etc protects a baby in her earlier days. But, skin care needs to be taken more scientifically in the growth period or when found the skin is affected.

Removal of dandruff, cleaning and toning up the skin, ex foliating and moisturizing the skin are the regular process in a skin care, if the skin is found to be infected. This is a simple routine work for a beautiful woman to maintain her modesty.

1. Cleansing the Skin:

Cleansing is quite indispensable to avoid pimples, acnes and other skin problems. Wash your skin time and again using a mild face wash and wipe off with a clean wash cloth. It is quite essential to get rid of any impurities such as dirt particles and makeup residues before going to sleep so that your skin can breathe properly at night. Use mild cleanser at least twice a day; make sure that it rinses away easily; cause no skin irritation and do not wash away natural body oils too.

2. Toning the Skin:

Toners clean the skin further and help in removing any leftovers of particle on the skin. But a toner cools, nourishes, hydrates and freshens up your skin. It tightens up skin and seal up any skin pores opened while deep cleansing the face. Toners must be alcohol-free as they dry off the skin.

3. Ex foliating the Skin

Exfoliants get rid of dead cells from the skin, rejuvenate the skin and remove fine lines and wrinkles from the face. After ex foliation, the younger skin that surfaces looks more beautiful and glowing. These products usually have alpha or beta hydroxyl-acids to quicken up the process. But, do avoid the ones that are granular as they tend to damage the new skin.

4. Moisturizing the Skin

Like our inner body, our outer skin also needs re-hydration and intake of proper nutrients to keep it healthy. So, treat it with a good moisturizer and a night cream daily that helps the skin to balance and restore any damage that might have occurred.

Do you want a single cream that acts as a Skin Cleanser and Toner cum Exfoliant and Moisturizer?

Now, it is made thus and available in a single product form in skin care industry. If you start using the miracle cream when you feel so, it is right time and right choice as a single product. Just keep it with you at your bed side. It is an insurance against all odds in skin care.

There are many different types of cosmetic procedures that are being done all over the world today, and although these can be incredibly positive because they can help to make people feel better about themselves, there are also certain risks and complications that are involved with each one, and all of these have to be taken fully into consideration by anyone who is planning on having one of these procedures done.

What is a Cosmetic Facelift Surgery?

Cosmetic facelift surgery is a procedure which is used to restore smoother and more pleasing contours to a persons face and neck, and it is a procedure which, when done properly, can reduce even decades off of a persons appearance.

If you are wondering whether or not you are a good candidate for a cosmetic facelift surgery, then there are several factors that you need to consider. For instance, if you have any one of the following, you are most likely a good candidate for a cosmetic facelift surgery: deep line or fold running from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth; deep wrinkles in the cheeks and sagging of the cheekbones; loose skin; jowls, or loss of a well-defined jaw line, something which is associated with youthfulness.

Risks and Complications

As with any procedure, there are certain risks and complications that are present with a cosmetic facelift surgery, for instance the most common will be that of scarring, which is obviously rather inevitable, as the skin is being cut and so of course there will be scarring. There will also most likely be significant swelling and tenderness after the procedure is completed, and so you will want to take time off work so that you can recuperate properly.

As well, there is the possibility of blood or fluid retention under the skin, and there could also be a crusting of the face lift scars, or numbness, for example. Also, the risk of nerve damage or infection after a facelift is low, but the possibility of it still does exist, and so again, this needs to be taken into consideration as well.

As long as you make sure that you find a qualified and experienced surgeon, then you should not have any problems that are not normal, but remember that there are certainly certain ones that should be expected, such as scarring, tightness, and incredible soreness.
